This Diwali, Suriya and KSR provide the fireworks with Aadhavan. Lighting up screens on festival day, Aadhavan aims to carry forward Suriya’s amazing run of success over the last couple of years. The film comes with a number of interesting points; the Suriya-KSR combination, Nayanthara as Suriya’s heroine, Saroja Devi in an important role after a long time and of course the regular attraction in almost every Suriya starrer these days, Harris Jayaraj’s music.
It was considered that the Kollywood had limited audience and cant go beyond the Tamil population.
Take it or not, with South Indian Stars making it big in the previous two or three decades, Kollywood is no more considered a smaller cousin to Bollywood. In the early years the mega blockbusters of Rajini, Kamal, Sivaji and MGR proved the might of Kollywood. Now when Rajini signed up co-production arrangement with Warner brothers, it tells us that the market for Kollywood might have been small, but the finer points they learnt in production are transported to much larger audience all over the world. I can see the possibility of simultaneous production of Tamil, Hindi and English versions, that could rock 'n roll
My friend asked me the question. When I asked in what..., so far there is no reply.
I think Bollywood will remain Bollywood and Hollywood will take the finer aspects of Bollywood and more Hollywood movies would be shot in India studios and sets hereafter to cut cost.
